Before...

...this tired and cramped early 1960's kitchen had to go:

After...

...using the original space available, we designed a fantastic working kitchen with plenty of counterspace and storage. The cabinetry is custom built of cherry with honed granite countertops. The floor and backsplash are slate.

Before...

...this original kitchen looks like somebody got a good deal on an old display and crammed it the house:

After...

...the new homeowner wanted a "cottage" style kitchen. We installed custom built cabinets with granite countertops, farm sink, white crackle finish tile, satin nickel bridge faucet and solid maple flooring. We retained the original appliances.

We recreated this relatively unusable closet into a bar niche with a custom fabricated wine rack. The glass shelves are mounted in front of a framed poster special to the homeowner and paint colors were picked to compliment.

This small, auxiliary basement wet bar was fit in with very tight clearances, but works very well. The cabinets are custom built of cherry with a granite countertop. The backsplash is travertine tile. There is a mini-dishwasher and refrigerator with icemaker fitted as well.

Before: A picture tells a thousand words...a family of four had outgrown this small, builder's grade kitchen

After...with the expansion of the house footprint, we installed this beautiful new working kitchen

The following pictures are of a vastly enlarged working kitchen in the Northlake area. We utilized the original kitchen area, breakfast area and laundry room and moved an adjoining wall three feet into overly large existing den.

Kitchen appliances include a double convection oven, six-burner range, microwave drawer (seen in island) and a warming drawer.

A family computer center is hidden in the kichen cabinetry.

This kitchen was part of a whole house project that opened up the floor plan between the existing den and living room.

In this view, the elimination of the dividing wall between the existing den and living room can be seen.

Along with the kitchen remodel, the entire house was rewired and new, elegant lighting installed.
